Hebrews: Consider Jesus

We tend to consider ourselves and how worthless we are or how awesome we are. In the book of Hebrews, God wants us to consider who we really are, consider what life is really about, and most importantly Consider Jesus. Join us, as we encourage one another through the book of Hebrews, to Consider Jesus. #hebrews #2021

"BY FAITH”

The book of Hebrews was written to exhort believers and specifically Israelites to consider Jesus in the face of their culture. Some believers were turning back to practicing the sacrificial system of the Old Testament that Jesus fulfilled so they could escape being persecuted. As the writer walks the hearers and readers through much of the Old Testament ideas and systems, his desire is to clearly show them how to Consider Jesus in their life now.

If we are honest, the entire world runs BY FAITH. We are all looking for who and what we can trust. We are all being sold belief and trust (faith) asking us to respond BY FAITH. God makes it clear that He designed the world BY FAITH so that we might choose Him BY FAITH and after we chose HIM continue to live BY FAITH.

  2. In the message, Mat explained how the world is built and designed by God to run BY FAITH. How do we see this illustrated in our everyday lives?
  3. We have been taught that FAITH and science are at odds. Discuss how that statement is far from “the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.”

  2. How can 11:39-40 put a life lived BY FAITH into perspective for us as believers?
  3. How do these other verses help us to have a healthy perspective of the reality of living BY FAITH?
