#07 Dead Man and His Tales

Foxes have their dens Birds of the sky their nests But the Son of Man Has no place to lay His head

O follow Me and let the dead Go out and bury their own dead

Watch a violent storm Come swamp you by the waves Afraid you’ll soon be gone And crying Lord to

Save us in our fear, of little faith We’ll all be dead if you don’t Save us, this great calm has us amazed What kind of man do winds obey?

A man of suffering The seas obey He was despised by men Rejected like someone that’s turned from

Who believes what we have heard? Who has the Lord’s arm been revealed? He had no form nor majesty That we should look on Him No appearance that we should desire Him This dead Man and His tales This dead Man and His tales This dead Man

Surely He took up all our pain Bore our suffering, pierced for us And by His wounds we are healed

Punished by God and afflicted Stricken by Him and was crushed Punishment’s peace that was brought Unto us all

And just as a sheep before shearers Has no hearers, silence will fall He did not open His mouth

He was oppressed and afflicted Yet He did not open His mouth Led like a lamb to be slain Slain for us all
