1 Look you live in a big cedar house While the ark of My covenant lies sitting about Inside a tent covering as if I’m concerned
2 In My journeys have you heard Me say Why haven’t you built Me a home on display I’ll establish My people a place they may dwell
3 And I’ve made your name like the great ones you tell of And I will build a house for you
4 Your house and your kingdom They shall endure before Me Forever, your throne it Shall be established You, My faithful love will never leave
5 When the time comes to enter your rest I will raise up your offspring, your descendant Who will come from your body, your own flesh and blood
6 He will build up a house for My name I’ll establish his kingdom and throne for always And I’ll be his father, and he’ll be a son to Me
7 And My faithful love will never leave him as Saul Whom now I removed him from your way
