18 The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor - Luke 4

1 I delight in the Lord My soul rejoices in my God For He has clothed me with Salvation’s garments
2 A robe of righteousness As jewels that a bride adorns And words Isaiah says The Spirit of the Lord
3 Is on Me Because the Lord has anointed Me To bring good news to the poor and sent Me To bind up broken hearts
4 To comfort all who mourn Instead of ashes, to bestow A crown of beauty with The oil of joy instead
5 And given a new name Called oaks of righteousness A planting of the Lord For His splendor on display

6 To proclaim the captives’ freedom and release From the darkness in the prisoners’ time of need
7 And to proclaim That the year of our Lord’s favor is here And that the day of our Gods vengeance it is near To pour the cup of His wrath that’s willed
8 Upon Me Because the Lord has anointed Me To bear the sins of the world and set free The bound and broken hearts
